I don't think anyone can make a true Model S competitor. Tesla is a company that started fresh and were able to do things differently and didn't have bean counters to answer to when making the Model S. Bean counters are the reason we have the X6 and a soon-to-be-FWD 1-Series.

I'm not sure that I agree with that. Now that Tesla has proven the validity of the idea, I would expect that bean counters will be a driving force behind creating more of them
